Making memories with Natalie

Natalie has been home for 2 weeks now. We are finally getting a routine down with sleeping and feedings. She even lets Mommy sleep in! So these last few days Natalie has been more alert and staying awake more. She is so much fun to have at home with us. Today she had her follow-up appointment at the Children's Spot with her NICU doctor. She is in the 50% percentile with her growth! She weighs 8 lbs 5 ozs and 20 inches long! Way to go Miss Natalie!! She is now eating 4 ozs of formula/breastmilk for each feeding. Her doctor took her off of oxygen! Well ok, tonight is the last night, then tomorrow she will be at room air! She has a new monitor which monitors her Oxygen levels (her goal is to stay in the 90's) so far so good! We will be checking her levels every 3 hours. The oxygen will remain in our apartment for another 2 weeks in case she may need it. I am so HAPPY for this milestone. We initially thought that she would be on oxygen for a month or so. We are so PROUD of our little lady! Just after we took off her nasal canula, she made the most cutest faces! I haven't ever seen her without anything on her face, she is definitely a cute patootie! I love our little lady so much.

I love the pictures. The second one looks like she is starting to get mad at ya..the last one she just looks like she is giving ya heck. Her mouth looks so tiny. LOL. She is adorable and I am so happy to hear that her weight is good and that she finally is getting off oxygen, and a couple weeks early too boot. Looks like you are doing great mom and dad.
