First Steps!

I am so Grateful for the First Steps program.

First Steps is a program for preemie babies and for babies with developmental delays. Tonight, Nicole stopped by to evaluate Natalie to see if she qualifies for speech, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and there were a few other areas too. After her evaluation, Natalie qualifies for everything but speech. I can't wait have our first meeting with the PT and OT ladies to set up her FSIEP (First Steps IEP.) I am grateful that we have programs to help preemies so that by the time they are 3 they should be caught up with speech, academic, cognitive, gross and fine motor skills. HOORAY for First Steps!

How do I get a hold of First Steps? I think Dani might have a speech delay, she's not even said Mommy or Daddy yet...well she kind of did but then hasn't really done it since. I think as a mother of a premie we're always worried about things so I don't know if this is just normal for her or if I should be worried. I thought it would be a good idea to get her evaluated.
