Updates on my sweet little miracles...

Well Ladybug's fever broke last Saturday at midnight. She has woke up at 10 pm, so I rocked her for a long time. I was so tired, I just put both girls in the bed with me. I attempted to sleep, but with a newborn and a toddler who was constantly moving around, it was really hard to stay asleep. So at midnight I checked her for a fever. She no longer had one. YAY! So I tucked her back in bed, with her blanket and sippy cup. Then I went back to bed and snuggled with Jellybean.

Jellybean had her appointment with the NICU Follow up clinic on Tuesday. She weighs 10 lbs 2ozs! 20.5 inches long! She is now off the heart monitor. Dr. Caldwell mentioned that out of all the mom's who had brought their babies in that morning, I was the mom who should get the award for keeping my baby on it the most. The only times I took her monitor off was for bath time. It made me feel good to know that I followed the rules with the heart monitor. She had very few alarms but for the most part, we were grateful that we had it for several weeks for precaution.

This past week, the girls and I have spent a lot of time together at home. Since the heat index has been over 100. We just stay home. A few mornings we were able to go out on walks before it gets too hot out. Each morning before breakfast, we watch Sid the Science Kid, and Super Why. Throughout the day, we play, work on puzzles, color, play with dolls, and blocks. What fun we have together. I love this stage where she loves to explore, and learn new things. Sweet little Jellybean is becoming more alert when she is awake. She is starting to stay awake more during the day. She sure loves to cuddle. She even holds her head up during tummy time. When Jellybean is laying on her blanket on the floor, Ladybug loves to lean over her and kiss her. She especially likes stick her fingers in her mouth. She is getting much better at being gentle with her. One day while making dinner, I look over and Ladybug is pulling Jellybean by her legs! AHHH! Jellybean didn't seem to mind one bit. I love watching Ladybug hug and kiss her sister.

I love being home with my girls. What fun it has been to watch Natalie explore and learn new things. I've enjoyed watching Natalie play with her sister. Natalie's new thing to do is to feed Eva her bottle. She is getting better at putting the bottle in her mouth, but within seconds she takes the bottle out. She looks at me with a smile, and then proceeds to put the bottle in her mouth instead of her sisters. Too cute!
