A long WAY overdue post......

January 14, 2014
What an amazing birthday! Hubby made me a heart shaped strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting. Yummmicious! We had my family over, and some wonderful friends and neighbors over. Thank you all so much the gifts, cards, and especially the sweet messages you wrote wishing me a happy birthday! I truly enjoyed this day! Come on 35!!! Show me what you got!

Tonight while reading the girls bedtime stories, I was reading a book about animals. Natalie asked if she could have a panda bear and Eva wants a baby tiger for a pet. They were soooo serious too! I explained that these animals are much better when they live in the zoo or an environment that they are used too. Not the kind of pets you want living in your house. Love these teaching moments.

As Natalie was getting dressed. She asked me if she has school today. I told her no its Martin Luther King Day. We don't go to school on this day. She replied, (while crying) but mommy I want to go to school on his birthday!

Happy/sad story.....we are listening to music while eating lunch. "You are my sunshine" comes on. Eva runs into the kitchen saying, "mommy, we sing this song with grandma sally!" Natalie says, "I miss her" then she says, "I want to go to heaven to see her." Before I could say anything, Eva then says "I want to go to heaven to see Leanne." I told the girls that someday we will all go to heaven and we will see them again. Natalie replies, but I want to go today. I reply, "if you go today we will all miss you so much." Then she says, "well I miss her." Love that they remember her and have memories of their great grandma sally.

While cleaning up the playroom today, Eva wasn't a big fan at picking up toys. She says to me, "you making me crazy mommy!" I say, "I make you crazy!" She replies, "yes, because you make me pick these toys up!" Lol!!
