Kansas City Zoo!

Today our classroom we went to the Kansas City Zoo. What a great day to go. The weather was perfect. No rain and it wasn't too hot. By the time we were finished walking around Africa...the kids were sure tired! I got a great picture of the lions and the giraffe's. We then took a break to ride the Merry Go Round. Then headed off to Australia to see the animals there. The tiger was an all time favorite. I was quite excited to get such an Awesome picture of a tiger just after he woke up from his nap in a tree stump.

Ever since I was a little kid, I have always enjoyed going to the zoo. So far I have been to Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City, Utah, San Diego California Zoo, St Louis Zoo and Henry Doorley Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska. Every zoo is different they each have there own unique touch to them. I really enjoy seeing the animals happy and knowing that they have a great place to live.

By the time we got back to school, all my students were burnt out and exhausted from all the walking that we did. At the end of the day, we shared what we enjoyed the most. They all agreed that they enjoyed the tram ride, the merry go around and loved the tigers, lions, giraffe's, hippo's, and the monkey's.
