WOW! What a busy busy week this was. Last Saturday, we went the Nascar races...what a blast we had. I am so grateful for headphones because it was really LOUD! We were able to get 2 tickets on ebay for $60.00. What a great deal! Gotta love ebay!
Early Monday morning I woke up and gave Erich his presents, one gift was a DVD that he has been wanting for a very long time. I was finally able to find it. It is a movie that was made in 1948 called "Fire Squadron." I was able to buy on http://www.ioffer.com/ I purchased it for a great price. Erich turned 24! On Monday, Erich had the night off so I took him out for his birthday! We went to Red Robin (one of our favorite places to eat!) Then we went to Barnes and Noble (another one of our favorite things to do) We hung out the browsing books/magazines while we waited for our movie to start. Then we went and seen the movie "Fire Proof" Kirk Cameron was the main character. What a great family movie! I highly recommend this movie. After the movie, we went and hung out with some friends, Erich and I played pool. I actually beat him at pool! I couldn't hardly believe it either. Erich was also quite surprised too! What a fun and eventful night we had.
Erich also found out that he got the 6am-6pm shift at work!! Yeeeehaw! Not only am I excited but so is he. For most of our marriage, he has worked nights and so it will be so wonderful for him to be home at night with me. What a great blessing for the shift change just before our baby will be born. He will finish working nights this weekend and then he will start his new shifts on Monday-Wednesday and on Sundays he will work 6am-2pm so he will get to go to church every week! Yea!
Then on Wednesday we found out that our baby is a GIRL! We will be naming her Natalie Rebecca. Every thing looks great! Natalie has a three vessel cord which is wonderful. (Leanne only had a two vessel cord.) I'm taking shots for my blood clot disorder so this little baby is doing great! She's actually larger than what Leanne was at 20 weeks. I just can't wait to meet her in a few months. We are both so excited to bring another baby into our family!
School is going great! I love teaching. At times, I feel that I am learning more than my students. They teach me so many valuable lessons. On Thursday, I told my class that I was having a girl, one my 2nd grade students (he was in my class last year) he said to me, "Will your other baby miss your baby." I looked at him and said, "Of course, Leanne will miss our new baby but they are together in heaven right now. As I thought about what my student said, I am amazed that he remembered Leanne. As I have thought about Leanne and our new little one coming, I can just see them together in Heaven playing together. I'm sure that Leanne is preparing Natalie to come and meet us someday. Oh, how I can't wait!!

I am so happy for you two!! I'll miss working with Erich on night shift, but days works out soooo much better for your family. And I'm overjoyed that the baby's doing so well. What a sweet thing the little boy in your class said. That's so nice to think about, little Leanne getting little Natalie all ready to come be a part of your family. What a great week you had!!
