We brought our 7lb 3 month old little miracle home from the NICU. We were both so overjoyed with excitement to have her home with us. Of course, we were nervous about taking home such a tiny baby who still needed to be on oxygen and a heart monitor. As we packed up all of Ladybug's things, Erich packed the car and headed home. The bishop and his wife brought us homemade beef stew with rolls, and brownies. We were so grateful for the time that they put into cooking us a meal so that we didn't have too.
I think back to that night, she was so snuggly and wanted to wrapped tight in her blanket and held. I loved those moments. She did really well sleeping too, she woke up every few hours to eat. I didn't mind getting up with her, I always thought that the lack of sleep would effect me, but it really didn't, my body just adjusted to it. I usually napped when she did.
Now 12 months later, she isn't so tiny anymore, but I love when I get to snuggle with her, or rock her to sleep. I love that she is growing and making milestones each and every day. This past year, definitely has been challenging at times but so worth it.
Being a mother has taught me patience, brought so much joy into my life, made me realize that motherhood is not only the best gift we can be given but also so worth it too.
As we prepare for another new addition to our family, I am filled with joy to know that just a matter of months, Eva will be here with us. Often times, I think oh my goodness....Can I really do this? Natalie will be 18-19 months old when Eva comes, I know that I will have my hands full but I feel so grateful to know that we have been blessed with such sweet little miracles. Oh how I can't wait!

You will love having those two little girls close in age! I love our close age gaps! Just as you adapted to getting less sleep, your body will adapt when you are juggling two babies as well.
I am so, so happy for you! It's amazing to watch your little beauty Natalie grow up through your blog. I am so thankful for blogs and facebook that keep us in touch so well! Leanne, Natalie, and Eva are all so blessed to have such wonderful parents!
Oh, and thank you for Braden, Jacob, and Asher's names! They are so cute!! The boys love them and so do I! You are so sweet to think of us!
Miss you bunches!
Love, Melissa :)
I think it will be AMAZING to have two little girls so close in age! They will be each other's best friends! YOU .. however! May not get to nap much anymore! That's what happens when the 2nd baby comes along! :( But, the sleep deprivation is so worth it!
