Hand, foot and mouth disease.....

YEP!! I have heard of this. But our girls haven't ever had it. That is until now. Over the past week or so, Eva has had a bad diaper rash. I have tried two different ointments. Nothing seemed to clear it up. This past Saturday, I noticed that the rash seems to be gone but there were several pink dots all over her bum. By Monday morning, she had several dots elsewhere on her body. So I called her pediatricians office and made an appointment. We went in and saw her doctor. HOLY MOLY!! She has this viral disease called Hand, foot and mouth disease. EEEEKKKKKK!!! Her doctor said that this year, there have been more kids with it. The only thing to clear it up is motrin and it will heal on its only in 7-10 days. Poor girl! Totally makes sense why her rash wasn't really going away. Last night, she barely slept, she woke up several times throughout the night, I tucked her in bed with me. She would fall asleep, within minutes she was awake whining. Poor girl. This morning, I noticed that she had a few more pink dots on her feet. Seriously....this is no fun! I have washed all their bedding, sanitized all their toys and tomorrow will finish up the rest of the cleaning. I can't wait for this to all go away. No fun at all. I just hope that Natalie doesn't get this too.
