Since I was still in the hospital with Natalie. Daddy came down and stayed with Natalie. So that I could attend my 4 grade teachers retirement reception. What an honor it was to be there with her. Along with two of my other Elementary school teachers. Mrs. Hummel reminded Mrs. Nick that each day I would ask why they were wearing clothes that matched. (which were skirts and dress shirts.) Definitely sounded like a question Natalie would ask. Mrs. Nick was my teacher 24 years ago. She taught for 45 years.. She had such a powerful influence on me at such a young age. She was so nice, kind and was always willing to help me along the way. I always struggled in Math. She never gave up on me. So grateful for her and for her kindness. I knew that she cared for me because of the way she would talk to me, give me a hug when I needed one. I will definitely treasure those moments.
