I'm THANKFUL for......

I am Thankful for being flexible, and being a patient mother and wife. With having preemies, our lives have changed. Over the past several years, we couldn't just say ,yes we will be there. We had to wait to see if one or both of our girls were healthy. We've had to miss many Birthday parties, Thanksgiving get togethers, Christmas get togethers, due to hospital stays or just being home taking care of each other. But you know what....its okay. For the many nights we spent in the hospital caring for Natalie, for the friendships we made while there, it was hard but worth it. I am Thankful that Heavenly Father blessed Erich and I with the ability to be flexible and with patience. We have the rest of our lives to make memories with them. Missing just a few, is absolutely A-okay.

I am Thankful for moments that I get to lay next my precious girls and watch them fall asleep. Seriously......gotta love these moments. As I looked at Natalie and Eva's faces as they were drifting off to sleep, I couldn't help but think about just how lucky were we to be their parents. At times, I feel overwhelmed and inadequate. But as tears came to my eyes, I felt this feeling that I was doing my best.

I am thankful for our little miracle Natalie Rebecca. It just seems like yesterday that she was born, what an amazing five years this has been, watching her grow and learn new things. I love that she is smart, sassy, and such a sweetheart!

I am thankful for new friendships. I have two new day care kids starting this week. What a wonderful blessing!

I am thankful for family nights....tonight the girls and I made playdough, sang songs, built several towers with blocks, put together a few puzzles and played connect four. Afterwards, we listened to several scripture stories on my kindle. Love these moments.

I am thankful for a wonderful, hardworking husband who truly enjoys his career as a police officer and also an officer in the youth outreach unit. I am thankful for young women/ leaders I serve with in the youth program at church. And, came home last night and hubby had figured out how to put up our new to us HUGE Christmas tree!

I am thankful for all the giggles and smiles, I was able to hear today. I had two day care kids today....what a great time we had dancing to Christmas music, coloring, sensory time, and of course play time. Pretty sure I have the best job on the world!

I am Thankful for positive attitudes. This week has been busy but very Thankful that I remained positive and looked at the bigger picture and was blessed.

I am Thankful for sweet friends Karen, for offering to give me a ride for the potluck/ornament exchange tonight with some terrific ladies from church, and very Thankful to her daughter Morgan offering to watch the girls for me so that I can go. By the way....ornaments are made and yummicious dessert is finished!

I am thankful for my chiropractor Page. I pulled my back out Friday night while sleeping. Yesterday, I called to see if he was still open and he was! So thankful that I was able to get an adjustment. Also, thankful for my heating bean bag....it helps my upper back to feel better.

I am thankful that I was able to get up this morning and make waffled and sausage for my family. now time for more rest.

I am thankful for good friends. I was able to talk to my very good friend on the phone today. It was a great conversation and she always gives the best advice. Thank you, Heather.

I am thankful for my scrapbooks that I finished of us dating, our wedding, and of our beautiful girls. I got a ton more pictures to scrapbook but I love taking time in the evenings to scrapbook.

I am thankful that I was able to go grocery shopping all by myself tonight. I really don't mind taking the girls with me, but is sure a treat to only have worry about myself. Thank you, hubby for staying home with our girls. They were pretty excited to see me when I got home, they even helped me put away the groceries!

I am thankful for my momma! Today, is her 60th birthday! She says, she will stay 59 forever. Thank you for being such a wonderful mother to me and a super grandma to our girls! Happy birthday pretty lady! Love you!

I am thankful for such a sweet husband who is willing to work overtime for our family. We miss you! But I am sure he is enjoying the football game. Go wildcats!

I am thankful for our new house! WE HAVE A HOUSE!! I love the space that we have. I love how much hard work it took for us to get into a house but we are truly blessed!

I am thankful for our miracles. Leanne, Natalie and Eva. I love the memories we are making with Natalie and Eva. I love how sweet they can be, I love games nights, story time, and of course the times when we laugh and have fun.

I am thankful for all three of my day care kids. What a fun experience! I love each one of their personalities. I love the moments when they want to come and snuggle with me and they end up falling asleep in my arms.
