Christmas/New Years Get together 2011

Today we had our family Christmas and New Years get together with Erich's mom, step-dad and 2 of his sisters and their families. We hosted it this year, Natalie was feeling much better, Eva still had a cough and runny nose. We served Chicken salad sandwiches, bacon wrapped b-bque smokies, fruit, veggies, bread with dip, and of course cake! We all loved our gift exchange! What fun we all had! Natalie took a nap before everyone got here but was quite fussy when everyone got here, so she went down for another nap. Eva was irritable. She cried and cried. She fell asleep and I put her in her bed, but soon woke up and really didn't sleep well until I rocked her after her bath and finally fell asleep shortly after 7 pm. After the girls went to bed, we watched movies and ate popcorn. I blogged while listening to the movie. I loved that I was able to snuggle with both of my girls before the went to bed. What a great feeling it is to hold them both. I love being able to live close to family so that we can have these memories of spending time together. What a wonderful New Year we've had!
