Patches......

For the past several months, Eva has been crossing her left eye. After rescheduling her eye appointment 3 times we were finally able to go this past Thursday. Sure enough, she has a lazy eye. The muscles in her left eye are too tight. So she will have to wear a patch over her right eye for 5 hours for the three weeks. Her eye doctor mentioned that there is a possible chance that she will need to have surgery to loosen the muscles even after wearing a patch. She wore the patch on Friday for the first time. She didn't cry at all. She did fall asleep for about a 1/2 hour so I had to add a 1/2 hour. Today wasn't as easy as yesterday. She did cry several times and she kept itching the eye patch. I am grateful that we have such a great eye doctor. She was so helpful and really took time wit Eva during the exam. We will be going back in 3 weeks to see if there is was any change.
