Waiting.....Waiting.....Yay going home!

Sunday October 25, 2009 Natalie slept through the night. She woke up babbling! I love the sound of a babbling baby! We spend the entire day today in our little hospital room. She has been quite the cuddle bug these last few days. I like it. She still needed to be on Oxygen throughout the day. Her lungs were sounding much clearer but not perfect. Her cough was still pretty bad. We had a fun day playing together. Daddy came to visit for a few hours which was nice!

So on Monday October 26, 2009 The team of doctors came and they talked to me about Natalie. The doctor who was looking over Natalie said that once she was able to sleep with no extra help from Oxygen, she would get to go home! Natalie was able to stay off oxygen all day on Monday, she only needed it when she was sleeping. Throughout the day, we played together, she was such a happy little girl. When she would cough, she would cry. It was so sad to see her cry after she would cough several times. So heartbreaking! Anyways, while in the hospital, I started watching Cake Boss this show on the Style channel and well I am addicted!! I love this show. Buddy, he is the cake decorator and the owner. He is one amazing cake maker/decorator!

On Tuesday October 27, 2009 Natalie and I woke up quite early around 4 am! But luckily she fell back to sleep around 6 am. The team of doctors came in around 10 or so. She listened to her lungs and they sounded much better today. Her doctor said that since she was doing so well, that if she continued to nap with no extra help on oxygen then she would get to go home that day! She also mentioned that since she has Chronic Lungs Disease, that her baseline for her O2 level was probably low 90's. As long as her staturation levels didn't go below 89, she would be able to go home. I mentioned to the doctor that Natalie had already had a morning nap for about 45 minutes that morning around 9:30. So if she took another nap, then she would get to go home. We played alot that day. We had so much fun! She played in an excersaucer, in her bed or on my lap. She really enjoyed playing with new toys that the childlife center loaned to us. She ended up falling asleep around noon or so. She slept for nearly an hour. Her saturation levels dipped down to the low 90's while she was sleeping. GUESS WHAT....we got to go home on Tuesday!! We got home around 3:30. It was so nice to be home again! Natalie was happy too! She played on the carpet for nearly 2 hours straight! I think she missed her toys!

Tuesday night was our ward Fall party, byt since Erich was going to work at 9 pm and it was pretty chilly out, I decided to keep Natalie home. Next year, we will definitely go to the Fall party at church.

We are so grateful for such wonderful family and friends, Thanks for all the prayers that were said about our little lady. Thanks for your kind thoughts and love!
