Can you believe it.....we actually got a white Christmas!! I haven't had a white Christmas since I was a little girl. We got about 6 inches. I LOVE the snow, I really don't care to drive in it but it looks so beautiful outside with all the pretty white snow! Erich called me around 7:30 am, he had just gotten off work and was home resting. As we were talking, he was telling me that the roads were just too bad to travel and how much he wished he could come to the hospital to see us. Around 8:00 am or so, Erich comes walking in the room. I wanted to cry with joy! I was so happy that he was here. The respiratory therapist was giving Natalie her albuterol treatment which she really doesn't like, she cries and tries to take the mask off her face. Then she suctioned her out, she got some mucous and boogers out. Erich and I ate bisquits and gravy together. I was so happy to have him there, even if it was for a short time. Erich soon left to head home so that he could get some sleep before he had to work tonight.
Natalie had a pretty good day. She even smiled for me today! I loved it! Brandy, her physical therapist stopped by to see her. It was nice to have some company to talk too. Her nurses were both really sweet and they were so loving towards Natalie. Ladybug napped and snuggled with me most of the day. She was able to wing down to 2 liters of Oxygen!! YAY! Her IV in her foot came out, since she started keeping milk down today, the doctors didn't think that it was necessary for her to get another put in right now.
Overall, she is making improvement. It's a long and slow process but she is improving each day. I am so blessed with such wonderful family and friends who have been praying for her everyday. We both appreciate it so much! We feel so loved. Thank you all so much for your thoughts, prayers, love and support. We truly love each of you and are blessed to have you in our lives.
Merry Christmas to all our family and friends!

I'm sorry you had to spend Christmas in the hospital. I feel so bad for your sweet Natalie- she's had such a hard fall and winter so far! She is such a strong girl though, and so sweet and beautiful! And you are so amazing, so strong, so faithful, so upbeat. Natalie is so blessed to have you as her mama! You are all in our prayers. Hang in there! That beautiful girl will be home soon! Merry Christmas!
Love, Melissa :)
PS- I totally love the new picture!! Natalie is so gorgeous and she seems like such a happy girl!! :)
