On Friday morning I dropped Natalie off at my parents house. I went to see my friend who was going to be having a baby. It was so neat to be there with her and husband. I arrived there around 8:30 am. She was dilated at a 3. By 10:40 am she was at a 7! Little Brooklyn was born at 11:30 am! I didn't get to see the birth, I helped by taking their 18 month old daughter Nevaeh out to the waiting room. I brought her in after the birth. Nevaeh was so interested with Brooklyn, she kept saying, "baby". It was really cute!
I left to go and pick up Natalie. My mom said that she was wheezing some and kept coughing. So we headed home. I called to get her in to see the pediatrician. I wasn't able to get her in until that evening. So I gave her 2 treatments of albuterol which helped alot. She wasn't running a fever, she kept her food down. Her coughing and wheezing was worrying me. I kept thinking....not pnuemonia again.
We got the doctor's office at 6:30pm. They checked her Oxygen saturation which was 98%. They did a chest x-ray, and had me do another albuterol treatment. The doctor came in and said that her lungs were clear. No pnuemonia. But she did have a virus. I pointed out to the doctor that I noticed that Natalie had a rash on her neck and chest. She said that it was probably because she has a virus. She gave me a prescription for a steroid and also for pulmcort which will help Natalie not to get pnuemonia or a virus again. Already Natalie has had pnuemonia twice and a virus twice. Because of her Chronic Lung Disease, she will/can get sick easily. She just got over having pneumonia last week and now she has a virus! She can't catch a break! Overall, she is doing really well. She plays, talks and smiles! She sleeps alot more and wants to snuggle with me, which I don't mind one bit! I love it!
So for the next few days or even week, we are going to be home together. Thank goodness I already went to the grocery store and we have plenty of food for a few weeks.

She does need a break, poor little girl. She's been sick so much this fall and winter. I've heard that's normal for such an early preemie, but it still must be hard. ((HUGS))
I LOVE all the pictures in your sidebar! It's so neat to see sweet Natalie growing up more in each one. She is so, so beautiful, Becky!
Melissa :)
I'm sorry we've been out of the loop. We'll pray that this Christmas will be peaceful and precious! She is such a trooper! We love you and miss you all a whole bunch!
