Bringing Lady Bug Home!

Last night I didn't sleep very well, I kept waking up, I would go and check on Natalie, she would be sound asleep in her bed. So I would go back and fall asleep and then a few hours later, I would be awake again. It was CRAZY! At 4am...two nurses came in and check on Natalie, they took her vitals and they had to weigh her, which that woke her up. I didn't know that they were even in the room until one of the nurses came and woke me up to tell me that they thought that Natalie was hungry. I laid there a few more minutes, I got up and made her a bottle. As she was drinking her milk, she fell back to sleep pretty quick. So I tucked her in and I went back to bed. Next thing I knew it was 7:30 am! I could hear Natalie babbling in her bed. She was just talking and talking. It was really cute! I LOVE waking up to my little lady babbling! I went over to her bed and greeted her...she was so HAPPY and smiley. I made her another bottle. Boy, she was hungry! I went down to the cafe to get me some pancakes for breakfast. About an hour last Natalie's neurologist came in and said that she would be going home today. He needed to finish some paperwork on her and then we would be able to go home. He was going to write a prescription for some pain medication for us to use as needed. She only had 2 doses of it on Friday and so far none today. He also wanted us to come back in 2 weeks to get the stitches out. I called Erich and told him that we would be getting discharged soon, so he would need to come and get us soon. Natalie ended up falling back to sleep around 10:00 am. Erich showed up and we got all of our things together in a little wagon. Natalie woke up, we took a few more pictures and then we signed our discharge paperwork. We were finally able to leave at noon! We were so happy that we could finally go home. Natalie was doing so well! She seemed happier and more alert. It is such a blessing to our little girl doing so well after surgery. We are so PROUD to have her as our daughter. I LOVE watching her learn something new, I LOVE seeing her smile, I LOVE knowing that when she sees me or Daddy, she knows who we are and lights up! I LOVE hearing her giggle! They told us that she would bounce back pretty quick and well she did! She is definitely Natalie! We are so glad to be home again!
